We’re looking forward to meeting you! We get together every Sunday in Footscray at 4pm. We have church at The Line in Footscray, stop by the welcome table just inside the front door and our welcome team will be there to show you where the toilets are, where to take your children and can answer any other question you have about church.
Our main gathering goes for about an hour and a half. As a church we love singing to God and praying to Him. With both singing and praying, you are welcome to join in or just listen, whichever you are most comfortable with.
Each week we read a section of the bible and then there will be a sermon based off the section that was read. Sermons vary in length, and average about 35 mins long. Often someone will share a bit of their story about getting to know Jesus and the difference he has made in their life.
There’s time before, during, and after church to chat with people around you. Most weeks we will have dinner together and you’re invited too.
Do you want to find out more about Jesus, or have a fresh look at his life for yourself? Join us at Coffee and Jesus. Coffee and Jesus is a series of relaxed evenings for anyone interested in finding out more about Jesus.
Each night includes free supper, a short talk, discussion together about what you’ve heard, and an opportunity to ask whatever questions you like. You can come on your own or bring friends, and you can participate in discussion or just sit and listen.
Week 1: Where can I find the good life?
Week 2: Can I trust the Bible?
Week 3: What’s the problem?
Week 4: The leader who died
Week 5: What does this mean for me?
Welcome to Church is for Christians who are thinking of calling Laneway Church home. At Welcome to Church you get to know other new people over dinner, meet some of the leadership team, and hear about God’s purposes for our lives in Jesus. If you’re keen to join Laneway, this is the way to learn more about small groups and start serving too.
Small groups at Laneway Church are a great way to get connected with people and grow together to be like Jesus. Small groups meet weekly to study God’s word, pray and care for one another under the leadership of mature Christians.
